Launched on 23rd March 2022 by Tana River County Government and Kenya School of Government with UNDP support. We equip young women and men aged 18–35 with skills, mentorship, innovation support and enterprise opportunities to transform Tana River County and beyond.

About Us

Transforming Potential Into Prosperity

The Tana River Centre for Innovation and Youth Empowerment is the first and only centre of its kind in Kenya running youth-centered skills training, entrepreneurship and enterprise promotion, employment services and learning-by-action systems. We target young women and men from low-income, marginalized ASAL areas.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our programs are open to all youth aged 18–35 residing in Tana River County. We prioritize women, persons with disabilities, and marginalized communities.

Most of our training programs are fully funded through partnerships with government and development agencies. Some specialized certifications may require a nominal fee.

We welcome partnerships from government agencies, private sector, NGOs, and international organizations. Reach out through our contact page or email partnerships@trcyi.or.ke.

Our main office is located in Holma, Tana River County, Kenya. We also operate satellite centers in Garsen and Bura.
